After an extensive search and tendering process Charlton Athletic FC have chosen TeamCard to manage the match day experience for their fans at the Valley Stadium.
The solution includes TeamCard’s latest “Android-based” access control technology fixed at each turnstile. These units are capable of reading all smart card variants, paper media, QR codes for print-at-home and mobile displays. The devices use “Apps” for real-time communication with the ticketing system, queue management and down-loadable updates. The large screen is now clearly visible by the fans and stewards and can be personalized to suit the club
Tony Keohane, the Clubs Chief Operating Officer said:
TeamCard are an established player in this sector with a great reputation, the system has performed exactly as they said it would and has been adopted seamlessly by the fans. This really is the new generation technology that we have adopted and we are very pleased with our decision to go with TeamCard. Now more than halfway through our first season and all is going very well with our new solution.
Mandy Anderson Myers, head of Ticketing
I’ve worked with Teamcard in my previous role at Crystal Palace, it’s been a while since, but the company’s solutions and level of service are still the best in the business – very pleased it gives me confidence to be working with them again, when we need them, they’re always there and always get it right.
Randal McLister, MD of TeamCard / STG
The Charlton deployment presented some challenges for us with our new generation android turnstile readers hot from development. But to their credit the team at Charlton worked well with us to get the system operational in time for the season start. We now look forward to a long and mutually successful relationship with the club
